Standing on the banks of the river Sy'tll in the dead of winters night, Ardiz and other lilta-hrívë practitioners looked far off into the deep of the frozen river as if waiting for something. The wind was harsh and blew angrily through the ocean of trees like a roaring beast in empty halls. The snow for anyone not used to it would be blinding and stinging against the skin until the numb of winters bite set in. Ardiz stepped forward ahead of the others, the pale blue of the Frost nymphs skin glowing as if enchanted by the winter itself, like a beacon to the wayward wanderers. She stepped onto the thick ice covering over the river nd looked straight down. In the deep dark of the river far beyond the sight of an average person there was a glint of white light. Ardiz closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh, the other lilta-hrívë seem to be deep in focus praying and sending some manner of energy to Ardiz as she glows stronger. Ardiz begins to dance on the ice seemingly able to use the friction less ice to her advantage like a figure skater. the wind and snow seems to wrap itself around her as she moves with the grace and elegance of the very elements she wields. Her dance goes on as a chiming sound emanates from the river matching up to Ardiz movements, the light below grows stronger and seems to be rising to the surface. The chiming of the river grows louder as Ardiz picks up speed now to the point where she's almost a blur.
She stops dancing and steps back from the ice, now enters the eldest of the Frost nymphs in the group. The light rises from the river passing through the thick layers of ice emanating brightly and resting just above the ice. The elder, a male Nymph clearly older than the others yet by human standards would still appear young in his forties steps closer to the light source.
"Ai urr'yferë Domsa Peszhe lilta-hrívë"
After reciting those words in the fashion one would religious text the light begins to pulse. The elder smiles at this in an approving way but his expression changes quickly when something happens he did not expect. The light slowly begins to to crystallize making the elder and the other nymphs gasp, the elder backs up to where Ardiz stands. Ardiz and the rest of the lilta-hrívë rush towards the crystallizing light and they all surround it. In a unified motion raising their hands the ice of the river explodes upwards like a geyserencompassing the crystal. The elder runs quickly towards it as Ardiz herself seals the elder alongside the light in ice. All of the nymphs remain quiet in shock and dismay over the ritual gone terribly wrong.
[Cut to three days later]
Ardiz kneels before a shrine in meditation in the back room of a temple incense burns in a small crystal bowl. A few moments later a Frost nymph enters the room quietly, Ardiz takes notice immediately and breaks her meditative state standing up.
"You can tell Pro Pefsta Mror I'll be leaving by sundown... Tell me, have the outsiders come?"
"The outsiders? Oh right, yes priestess at least I know one has come. One of Fenrirs children I believe."
"A dog man... Great, I suppose beggars cant be choosers."
"The others will be arriving soon."
"Right... I'll meet them at the Winter hall."
"As you say Priestess."
The servant leaves promptly as Ardiz gathers her materials and leaves the temple. The Winter hall was a large building that seemingly grew from the ground itself as if the trees grew in the shape of the building. The leaves on all the trees in the village were a slightly rusted gold color, the trees themselves that made up the various structure were interwoven with large shards of smooth ice. Inside the Winter hall Erum Wallenstein sat on a chair made of gnarled tree roots and relatively plush leaves. He had a stone stein full of some bubbling white liquid that he occasionally sipped from. The guards kept their eye on him though tried not to be so obvious, right now Erum was in his natural state as a hulking werewolf. His pitch black fur, yellow eyes and massive size were enough to keep the guards wary. Not that much later Ardiz entered the hall holding a map in her hands, she spotted Erum instantly and paused a second. He was larger than she had expected and had a more canine like face. Erum looked back at her with a curious expression, he'd never seen a nymph before in his life before today.
"You are the one called Erum Wallenstein yes?"
Her accent when speaking English was heavily native American.
"I am, the FEI sent meh here to assist in your matter."
"I see."
"Though I must say I have my own vested interests in helping your folk miss...?"
"Ardiz'zil Subos. Good, I hope you are not weak. This will be a difficult and painful journey."
"Yours are not the only folk to call the winter woods home, I can handle myself just fine. So would you like to fill me in on exactly what this task is? I was told I'd discover upon arriving."
"Soon, We must wait for others to arrive first before."
