Celestial lords
In the deep wide void that is the black ocean reside the Celestial lords. There are various kinds of deities, the Solar lords, the Nova lords, the Empty lords and the Wanderers. The Solar lords are the most plentiful and brightest points in the Black ocean. The Solar lords are the guiding light to those that travel the stars as well as the governors of life in their respective realms. Their physical appearance is as an inconceivably large ball of fire and halos layering over each other, they float in the ocean sending out light seemingly forever. They do however posess the power to take a willing host of the mortal realm, some can create a body at will. They use their power to gather their worlds around them like a court to a King. The solar lords are immortal, at the end of their long lives stretching far past any mortal creature they explode in in a brilliant wave of fire harmlessly washing over their kingdoms though sometimes not so harmlessly. Once in a rare while by foul unknown means a Solar lord will implode upon themselves, when that happens a Solar lord is transformed into a wanderer. In any normal event a Solar lord will be reborn almost instantly into another smaller body. The newborn lord still provides the warmth and light to reach all their kingdom even when newborn. Their divine powers are reflected in the worlds they create; some can manipulate elements, some can summon the dead and others travel in their solar form.
The Nova lords are beings not as grand as the Solar lords, they hold no claim over any realm and swim through the ocean. They tend to pass by the realms of the Solar lords putting on an impressive light display as they streak through the darkness. Solar lords often invite them in order to see their display. Occasionally when passing by a world they will let fall a large mass of mineral to the ground rare and powerful in it’s make. The mortals tend to call it Brille using it in their arcane pursuits, it only appears once every hundred years or so in small quantities. The Nova lords are the most benevolent of all the lords and obey a simple nature of loving to entertain. Most sailors who encounter these lords enjoy observing their display and even offer tributes of gold and copper which they love most. Favored captains can sometimes be seen sailing alongside these lords.
The Empty lords are the balance of life and death, their power and size make the Solar lords appear as spark to frozen sea. They sit on their thrones at the center of the collective Solar lord kingdoms, as the worlds of the solar lords circulate their lord so do the kingdoms of the Solar lords circulate the Empty lords. They watch over the Solar lords and determine the date of their death and if they will be reborn as a Wanderer or Solar lord, the reasoning as to why Wanderers are made is a secret only the Empty lords know. They take no active roll nor care for the wars of the various solar lords for the most part, they grew tired The only time in history the Empty lords actively fought in a war was during the Ether wave against Quasar. The Empty lords are everlasting unto the dying of the Ocean itself, upon having a near death experience many beings have told tale of seeing an Empty lord manifest in the sky threatening to take them into the eternal abyss. It should be said that many of those that reported this were criminals and those some may consider less than savory folk.
The wanderers are malevolent fallen Solar lords, they are of the same size but appear almost as nothing. They are voids in the black ocean warping, bending and pulling all things that exist into them. They are an endless hunger in the ocean roaming from one region to another consuming all they can with glutinous joy and hate. Normally these fallen lords are kept far from the Solar and Nova lords and it has remained this way for ages. The Empty lords make sure with their divine powers to keep the Wanderers at bay and the Wanderers do fear the Empty lords for the Empty are like them only much more powerful. The only time they were able to challenge these Empty lords was with the might of Quasar commanding them. Now the Empty lords feed on passing asteroids and other debris in space, not to mention whatever foolish travellers dare step outside the safety of the travel lanes or realms of the Solar Lords. Despite being the endlessly hungry beings that they are they also produce a foul mockery of life in the form of Null beasts. These beasts unlike the Wanderers themselves are capable of entering the realm of Solar lords without provoking the ire of the Empty lords, none know why and the Empty do not lower themselves to answering their lesser. These beasts are kin to lizard but standing up like men and their flesh is mangled and ruined, even despite these horrendous flaws they have the strength and speed of beasts. They are wise in the ways of war and killing and driven by a zealous need to do their lords will and the same endless hunger but for living flesh.
Quasar is a being of infinite hatred and contempt, he was once an Empty lord governing over his own court of Solar lords. It's not known why he turned on his own kind but Quasar was known to be the most boastful among his kind. There was a time long ago when all the Lords freely conversed without restraint, Quasar had little interest though in hearing the thoughts of lower beings. Quasar was always hungry for more attention, more privilege and for others to notice all his deeds. It so happened one time Quasar overstepped his authority and consumed an entire Solar system upon the death of the Solar lord Azhe-Nizu who was to be revived. Quasar was severely punished for this atrocious act as the collective Empty lords had enough of Quasars ways. He was stripped of his powers and authority by the Empty lords and banished beyond the shores of the Black ocean. That realm beyond the ocean is unknown even to the Empty lords, it is a gap in time, space, matter and energy... Quasar survived this place. he gained such immense power upon his return from the void. The day that Quasar returned marked the first day of the Ether wave, endless legions poured from the void. Quasar had returned at a time when the Solar lords were feuding and launched his assault on all the realms. The chaos of war clouded the Solar lords focus to the true threat allowing Quasar to amass power and threaten the whole of existence even rallying the Wanderers. Quasar was eventually challenged by a heroic Gen mod adorning a special kind of armor, the first Relic Machina ever. In the midst of battle these two dueled each other for one hundred and forty hours, the duel was so enthralling the battle had paused as all gazed in astonishment. All across the Ocean Celestial lords halted their battles to see Quasar and the Gen mod duel. In the end Quasar had won and slain the Gen mod, in his stead though the Solar lords, Nova lords and Empty lords rallied. This act brought all good folk and lords together to finally defeat Quasar and destroy him.
Celestial lords of Remard Grand
-Fission: The empty lord of Remard Grand like most of her kin is a silent watcher. There's not much to write about concerning the Empty lords, like aging senators they sit on their chairs and watch the universe.
-Veah: Veah the headstrong as some of her kin refer to her is one of the more active Solar lords. The personality and will of a Solar lord can change from time to time and they are quick to emotions. Veah herself is more often than not stoic and reserved showing kindness despite any anger she might be feeling at the moment which separates her a bit from other Lords around her.
-Tygelia: With his complex thinking and intricate ways Tygelia is a Solar lord deeply invested in the capabilities of mortal minds. He created the Tygians in a way he thought would bring out the most learned and intellectually capable species across all realms. Veah and Tygelia have had a feud stretching further back than before the Ether wave, in recent times the feud has reduced to a dying coal in a fire pit. As old feuds begin to fade inevitably new ones will rise as is the nature of Gods. Tgelia mostly concerns himself now with the advancement of his people and observing their progress along with other species.
-Scolgrag: Scolgrag the Wordsmith with her echoing crimson voice forged many worlds full of gems, metals and caverns deep. The smoke and steam rose from the forge of her creation, in a sigh of contentment she breathed life into this cloud. This gave birth to the Bellfr'uin named for her anvil and hammer words Bellfron and Thuin. Though she had not meant to give rise to any life she was pleased none the less with the beings she had given life to. They sought out deep places in their worlds, they used her creations and made them new turning mineral and gem into homes, art, working machinery as she could not have imagined. Scolgrag with her words Bellfron and Thuin carved out a kingdom as to let her people flourish.
-Duom Tengal: "The secrets of Duom Tengal are as plentiful as they are guarded, for Tengal knows that which even remains unknown to all." Or so the saying goes. Duom Tengal is a Solar lord who likes to gather secrets and information while guarding all information about herself well. This is the reason she gave rise to Kelail, Kelail will never divulge her secrets as it is one mind and entirely devoted to Tengal.
-Battai: Formerly known as Coruv'yal the horde bringer, was responsible for much blood shed at one point during the civil war between the Solar lords. His longing for combat brought entire cities to ruin and laid waste to worlds. In the Ether wave Coruv'yal eagerly took to the front as did his primitive Coded followers, but with the reputation he'd earned and once the forces of Quasar were made as the greatest threat. Still no one would come to his aid holding nothing but scorn and fear of Coruv'yal and his blood lust. Against the forces of the Wanderers and Quasar Coruv'yal was slain along with the large majority of the Coded settlers. When the war was over the Empty saw fit to bring back Coruv'yal as Battai the Holy watcher. He was given the task of keeping the Celestial lords in high regard among the mortals and see to it that any sort of heresy was swiftly destroyed. The Paladins of Battai are an order of knights personally chosen by clerics to lead crusades, it is said Battai speaks to the minds of the clerics in order to truly have a divine order.
-Byr: Rumors and gossip often circulate that when the Solar Lords sought to populate their worlds with birds, beasts, fish and things that grow they came to the door of the ever vibrant Byr. With not flaming hands but a gentle warmth and love the creatures and environments crafted by Byr led to such diversity that some worlds she crafted are one of a kind. Also known as Byr warden of the green, her worlds yield the most vegetation and animals. The Farmers Haven are her adoptive people, those from all over the Black Ocean who wish to give their lives and devotion to the natural world. Farmers, rancher, explorers and biologists are all welcome to her realm with open arms into the Haven. Many Solar Lords hold her in the highest respect as she has personally aided them in the fertility of their realm.
-Lucivus: Lucivus the opulent as some may address her is a Solar lord of great vanity and contempt for mortal beings as a wealthy noble may look down on paupers. She bore no great creation of intelligent life as such things seemed useless to her in her early days. She created great worlds of beauty with environments that are said to be the dreams of artists. When her realm was done she found that she did lack something that irked her vanity greatly, there were none to admire her and her great works of beauty and so she created beasts of multiple purpose. Some kept the world fresh and vibrant, some controlled the population of others and some stood as guardians lurking in the sky, on land and beneath the ground. Lucivus was satisfied for a time watching these lower beings keep her realm and enjoy it but she still longed at the end of the day. It was after the Ether wave when Lucivus was approached by a mortal ship, rather than smite the bold captain and crew for daring to enter her realm unannounced she gave audience. The captain named himself Naslan of Tees and came with gifts, he presented the Solar Lord with rare gems, statues of artwork and other great treasures. The captain openly admitted he was a pirate, thief and murderer not wanting to offend the Lord by lies of omission. Lucivus cared little for the life of lower beings and was much more enamored with the beauty in each precious object. The pirates had been chased from one system to another and were desperate for a home. They struck a deal with Lucivus that guaranteed them a home safe from persecution as long as they brought her more wealth and beauty. These pirates unlike many gave praise to their Solar lord and therefor are not an enemy of The Paladins of Battai.
-Cyell-Mor: Cyell-Mor is one of the oldest Solar Lords in existence being reborn only once in all his lives. Cyell-Mor is a Lord of power, always is he seeking ways to consolidate power in weapons and armies. In the Ether wave Cyell-Mor lost his blood brother in the battle for Mirror way tragically due to internal conflict among their forces. Some Solar lords believe that day maddened him somewhat and made him a zealot. Cyell-Mor blames humans and Gen mods for the loss of his friend, more so the humans of the Red Crown. Veah and Cyell-Mor have gone through periods of war and fragile peace throughout the ages, but Cyell-Mor's volatile state of mind and vengeful nature leads him to strike against Veah for the slightest provocation. Besides his ongoing feud with Veah Cyell-Mor delights in arcane creations, in the realm of Cyell-Mor stands the tower of Phasio. The tower is an arcane touched place where sits a grand library and look out tower able to see across the stars. The tower was built by the Remingtide alliance and the Tyge Empire as a show of solidarity between Tygelia and Cyell-Mor. Since his realm is not rich in resources that could sustain a truly fearsome military force he relies on the Tyge Empire for trade and arms. Battai has long condemned the actions of Cyell-Mor as inciting violence across the many Solar Lords of the Ocean with his careless war mongering.
-Cepero: By her own desire was Cepero made the watcher of Gen mods and though they do not exclusively worship her most do. Her favor and generosity to the folk that gave birth to the old hero of the Ether wave is boundless. Cepero is strong in will and body, she is the strongest warrior in the Remard Grand as has no issues being a braggart. She loves to be among the Gen mods taking up a willing vessel so that she may walk among those who worship and those who respect her. Much to the disgust of the more prideful Solar lords accustom to separating themselves from mortals Cepero can be seen commonly in the company of Gen mods. She has even taken a mortal Gen mod as a mate and owns a modest home in the countryside of Victory's pillar. She cares little for the affairs, feus and other interactions of her kin, she see's most other lords as too arrogant and prideful in their security. Cepero has great memory of the power of Quasar and the Wanderers, she and the Gen mods she watches over always keep vigil for the great evil and it's return from the Ether. Her relationship with Cyell-Mor is particularly strained due to her favoring of the Gen mod folk.
