Cold, hungry, lonely…
Zephidian was still not accustomed to the physical plane, she was used to being in a telepathic connection with the elders and her fellow brethren, in a world where it was always neutral, where there weren't any bright lights to hurt her eyes, where nobody threw a fit when they saw her.
Already, she noticed the peculiar dominant species of this dimension are somewhat very frightened by her appearance, they often shriek and fuss when she gets close. She tried catching them, and that made them sometimes struggle, and occasionally play dead, her sensitive ears could hear they were alive, yet they don't wake up when she pokes and chirps at them. Curious, she would sometimes play with them while they slept, checking how they moved and how they smelled, some had to poison inside of them, and their breath smelled very much like fire, she didn't like to see them putting themselves in such a condition, maybe they didn't know better? Often, when she found a flaming breath one, they had a little package in their weak armor that smelled the same as their breath, so she would take them away and rip them up, revealing these little sticks that tasted terrible, she would make sure that they wouldn't be hurting themselves anymore by putting these in places they couldn't reach… Often, when they woke up, sometimes the fire-breaths would get frustrated when they looked for the package and it wasn't there, which bothered her, how were they so self-destructive! Frustrating as it is, she has no way of telling them anything.
She prowled about, the night was upon her, not that it was all that helpful with the bioluminescence and all, but at least it was hard to tell what she was immediate. She saw this large building, very big with this nice glowing sign, and inside… She saw more food then in her whole life, it was filled to the brim, walls covered in food! She drooled slightly at the thought of finding something to eat in there, the greenish slime dribbling on the rooftop. She noticed an issue, more of those things that get very frightened by her presence, but usually these creatures often leave there weird caves when it becomes darker, so she decides to first curl up near a grate and take a quick nap…
Finally, she began waking up, she spent some time stretching, the whole time her mouth smacking as she kept yawning, after a small amount of time stretching, yawning, and shaking snow off of her mane, she peeked over and noticed the building was finally empty of activity, so she hopped down, landing on all fours, and began dashing towards the large structure. Once she neared it, she squatted down and in a swift motion jumped against the stone wall with a light Thunk! Climbing up swiftly, she found a small grate, suitable just enough to fit her size, she jammed her big fingers in it, prying it gently until it popped off, minorly bent, she stuck it to the wall with a touch of webbing before crawling inside.
It was warm, dark, and smelled delicious! She kept crawling until there was another opening, and again she “gently” removed the grate before plopping onto the floor. She looked about, curious what was before her, there were many colorful boxes, but something strong pulled her towards something, but after a few steps alarms started sounding, she hissed, before leaping at the things making the noise. After promptly destroying all the things, she looked at them, little metal boxes with glass eyes, she knew these, they cry and that attracts the attention of the creatures, but these ones where the soldiers, they had little things that shot rocks, and they hurt very much. She felt like they would take her food, so she went to work coating all the entrances and windows with her ribbons, now they know she is in here and not to come in. She went back to following that smell, and eventually found this small jar, it had a weird lid on it, she learned to open these she just had to twist it a bit to get it open, and once she opened it, she immediately jumped at the strong, wonderful smell, it was… similar to those nuts, but she saw no nuts in there, just a smooth paste. She stuck her finger in the paste and stuck it in her mouth. Her face melted, this was amazing! She grabbed three more jars before hobbling on three limbs over to a corner, promptly enjoying her snack of peanut butter while police sirens whined just outside the door.
This was yesterday, the “thing” is still in there, they were told to send some hero’s to enter the building before anything is done.
The building is covered in webs, and there are many more inside tightly pulled into a sort of maze. Packages with only a single item taken from it a strewn across the floor.
