Basic appearance/face claim: The Greench is a large, greyish green troll covered head to toe in fur. He has sharp teeth and claws which are stained and look to be rotted. He is rather short, at least compared to the average monster or creature. His eyes are stained black and empty, much like soul (at least that’s what the stories stay). He tends to not wear clothes, not that he needs it cause of the fur, but if he does, he’ll try and match the Krampus, wearing a bright red robe and a Santa hat.
Personality: Angry, grouchy, lazy, hates nearly everything happy.
Vices(Optional): Look above.
Virtues:(Optional): He likes his dog.
History: There once was an old man who hated nearly everything he came across, especially people and things that emitted happiness. Bitter was the best word people could describe him as. The only real companion he had was his loyal dog, the one redeeming factor about him. If it wasn’t his dog, he didn’t care or could be bothered with it.
It was upon his most hated of holidays that he met the end of his normal life. One of his employees had gotten drunk one Christmas eve and went to bitter man’s home and set it ablaze! It killed the man and his dog, though only physically. Their spirits were brought back and twisted in shape. From there, they decided they would end the happiness and joy in the world, no matter the cost.
Krampus, though reluctant at first, accepted the Greench into his ranks. The Greench tended to target those of more…naughty tendencies and he was quite powerful. He would be the perfect addition to the Krampus’s ranks in terms of disposing the naughty people of the world. There would be time to punish the Greench later.
Powers: Foul Breath: The Greench can emit an acidic, poisonous cloud from his mouth. It can eat away and deteriorate anything that comes into contact with it, even strong metals like iron and steel. The cloud will disperse after a few seconds of being emitted, but it can be very deadly in close bursts. It can continuously be emitted from his mouth, causing the cloud to persist longer.
Gone: Its not that he is invisible, rather he just goes unnoticed. He can walk in a crowd without actually be noticed despite being there. Whether it is a field he emits or some sort of magical force it causes him to be overlooked, despite his appearance. This makes it very easy for him to dodge attacks and perform more stealth based missions. Even if seen, it’ll be hard to keep your eyes on him, though he can be found if you’re looking for him.
The Hound: Maxwell, the Greench’s beloved pup was also transformed into a terrible beast. It looks more like a wolf now, though the size of a full-size lion. It has jagged teeth and sharp claws, and like the Greench it can pierce tough metals with ease and digest them fully. The Hound is very quick, able to match cars in terms of speed and it’ll attack with such ferocity that the only word that can truly define it is monster.
Joy Empowerment: When around people of a happier, more joyful expression or if it is a normal state of being for them then the Greench will become empowered. Physically he’ll become stronger and faster, able to take more shots and emit more poisonous gas than before. His strength is comparable to that of a high-tier empowered person, able to lift busses or even sleighs filled with toys for an entire town.
Regeneration: Greench, while not strong in terms of endurance, has very good regeneration. He can heal a lost limb within minutes. Though, if he is drenched in clean water or if carols are playing he will not be able to regenerate.
Weaknesses: Food?: Greench is very gluttonous person. If he smells good food he’ll usually go for it and try to consume all of it. In order to perform at his top ability he’ll need to consume a good course meal before entering combat. Generally, food is a good way to trap him.
Carols: There isn’t anything that Greench hates more than carols. To hear pleasant and joyful songs actually causes him harm and physical damage. If he hears it, he’ll try to destroy the source or pass out from the pain of it. Carols work stronger if they are sung in person, though radio/recordings still will have some effect on him.
Water: As a creature of filth and vileness, water will actually burn and harm him. Water is like acid to him and long bursts of it can cause the most damage to him.
Learned From Master: Maxwell has all the same weaknesses as his master.
The Perfect Gift: Many legends tell that if given the perfect gift that the Greench will actually turn good and his cold, cold heart will be melted.
