1150 – 1295: Safiya the Templar
Served as “Marshal of the Black Templars”, the Knights Templar’s Cavalry commander and later Fleet Master. Safiya and her secretive company of vampire knights proved pivotal in the Order’s first major victories in the holy land, though they were often viewed with suspicion as they answered only to the grandmasters, kept to their own sealed barracks, and only ever fought at dusk and beyond. That they often took prisoners to their own keep and none come out alive only served to alienate them outside of battle.
After the fall of Acre in 1291, Safiya’s Black Templars gradually vanished after delivering surviving knights to Cyprus, absconding with a significant amount of gold and treasures.

This was the time when Safiya was finally caught, bound and cursed to a sword, alongside her ship the Blood Reaver and its damned crew. Her services were traded

For a most hefty sum, Safiya was given over to the British Empire to fight as a
1803 - 1815: Napoleonic Wars
Safiya served with Lord Horatio Nelson and was present at the battle of Trafalgar, 1805.
She also served as a cavalry commander once more under Lord Wellington, and beside Maj. General Edward Somerset, led heavy cavalry charges against the French.
1824 – 1842: Anglo Burmese and Anglo Afghan Wars
1861 – 1865: American Civil War
Safiya resurfaces in continental America when the crown sold her services to Confederate land owners who dealt in business with English noblemen.
1870 – 1860: Participated in the Modoc War, War of the rosebud, and battle of Little Bighorn
With the defeat of the confederacy, Safiya’s allegiance was transferred to the Union to do battle against the Native Americans.
1898: Spanish American War
It was here Safiya meets a young cavalry commander, Theodore Roosevelt. Her presence, her nature, her actions against humanity spurred the man to become the leader of the United States, to find those who employed her services and later to research a means of destroying her.
1899 – 1902: Philippine American War
1914 – 1918: World War 1
1919: An aging Theodore Roosevelt, together with his two children and several friends, defeat and imprison Safiya. Though she was meant to be imprisoned in the carribean, the ship transporting her met a grisly end at sea, sinking to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico.
2019: Safiya is revived by Haru and company. With the aid of modern technology and metahumans, She promptly begins rebuilding her sea empire, despite serving under a master once again.
