The Warlock, The Werewolf, and The Book [OPEN]

The waters of his scrying chamber rippled. These ripples spreading out over the surface as if a rock had been dropped into it. Isaiah’s body levitated above the surface, legs crossed in what looked to be a meditating position. His favored vessel dressed within simple, whit cotton clothing and eyes closed in a calm fashion. This sudden burst of something seemed to cause a reaction, as his eyes open and lips took in a deep inhale. Bringing sound to the otherwise quiet space within his personal place within planes unknown. Something within the mortal realm had stirred, moved after so long having not done so.

Curious.

His mind wandered over the possibility as the ripples continued to play out until they reached the edges of the pool and faded. This cycle of rippling continued for a few minutes, casting undulating luminescence over the room as they formed. Something had to be tugging at his personal magical detector but he didn’t know what. Only one way to find out however, which required that he look into the matter. Always personally. Being free from the tethers that a soul normally had to its body brought with it many benefits, including that of not having to endanger something that he normally valued. Even if this body was not his original.

It just happened that he found something that suited him and magical means managed to keep that body preserved for a good long time. Letting his body hover ever so much, he stood on the rough hewn stone steps that overlooked the pool. ”I’ll have to look into this.” He said finally, throat feeling rough after a long period of simple not talking. Allowing the silence to wash over him in steady flows. Opening his mind to the world at large, though now he had a reason. Something that ripped him from his isolation into the world at large once again. Aside from the seemingly mundane matters that he tended to get into.

Things were moving and setting themselves into motion. It didn’t hurt that he would too go into these motions. Stepping through the many vast hallways that composed his home. Through the grand library and past the bridge of the void until he found himself in a room decorated with mirrors. Casting not reflections but different people within their surfaces. Some men, some women, all of various ages and different physical characteristics. Eyes scanning over the various glass surfaces until he picked one out with a faint smile. A young woman that lived not too far from the source of the signal. She seemed to have the proper tools to get where he needed and so he picked her out. A low chant worked from his lips and he felt his soul rip itself from this mortal coil.

That sudden disorienting pull as he slid through the reflective surface and into a new place entirely. The human body his spirit slipped into seemed to react immediately. Spirit trying to push him from their body but quickly enough he managed to take control of this body. Composed of flesh, with fingers curled around the handle of what he assumed was a kitchen knife. ”Easy.” He muttered, looking over the knife before letting it slide into what he assumed was a holder for the cutlery. That was when he heard something, little pitter pattering feet and turned to see someone looking up at him. A young boy, maybe around three or four. The same dark skin like her.

How could he have forgotten about a son? They looked up at him with the guileless eyes of a child, Isaiah seeming to frown in this new body. Now he had a reason to keep this body in one piece. Well maybe he did. Something seemed to tug within the back of his head to do so. Pressing an index finger against the child's forehead, he muttered something and their eyes seemed to become blank. ”Sleep. By the time you wake i’ll be back and this will all be just a bad dream.” He said through her voice, feeling just how calm it actually felt. That could have been because he had laced his words with mind molding magic, but either way he left the child to walk away as he stepped outside.


First drawing a few rings onto his fingers, all sporting what looked to be sizable white diamonds in each. Then changing into ware that would better facilitate hot weather travel. Something he had learned in his travels east, when his vessels had been dealing with someone that was less practiced within his magic. It was then that he met the being that called themselves Raziel, an angel with wings of gold and a hunger for knowledge that dwarfed his own. They had come to an understanding then.

Now acquiring her vehicle and pulling out a small device that looked to be a compass, pointing in a certain direction and he drove. The desert soon came to view and beyond that the high ways that cut through it. Once he was close enough, he placed a small charm upon the mini-van he had been stuck with. Something that would allow it to withstand a little driving along on desert sand. Something that drew from one of the stones on his fingers, this going on for around thirty minutes until he stopped and stepped out. Feeling the signal was close enough that he would walk from there. Various cacti sprung up around him, prickly and looking dangerous to the touch despite what they would serve him in the long term. Should he want to keep this body hydrated at any rate.

With dry sand crunching under booted feet, eyes narrowing as he came upon what looked to be two people. One was a native American woman and the other a male around 18, maybe a little older. Brows furrowed as Isaiah considered how he would proceed from there. Did they notice him yet or was he working with the element of surprise? A harsh ind blew against him as he thought these things over but didn’t make a move yet. This was where the signal was coming from but he didn’t know what he was dealing with.
