Alexander made his way down the street, Katsuro close behind. The two teens had their eye on a search for trouble, or at least that’s what Alexander reported, Katsuro was just there to make sure his buddy wouldn’t jump into anything too serious for him to handle or into something that wasn’t a real crime. Alex had most of his body covered up, short of his hands, he was sure most people would be fine with his mutation. While Katsuro was wearing his usual all-black punk clothes, alongside the bandages he used to cover his body, he honestly would like to avoid a fight as best he can, and his main purpose here was of course to keep Alexander together, but to also see any sorts of people who looked like ample candidates for the Misfit’s, the ragtag group of youthful adults or not quite adults aiming to prove they are all worth something. Katsuro felt Alexander’s haste from where he walked behind him, so decided to share a bit of wisdom to his troubled partner,
” He that can have patience can have what he will.”
” Katsuro, if you go off spouting fortune cookie nonsense, I’m gonna slap you.”
” Alex, that was Benjamin Franklin who said that. It is in fact NOT fortune cookie nonsense.”
” Tch, I knew that… I was just sayin… Never mind, keep your eyes and ears open.”
Alexander wouldn’t have been able to see, but Katsuro would allow a faint smile to release his constraint, before shrugging and looking around, proud of his own little victory in the form of words. They both kept their eyes open for anything that could be considered superhuman or supernatural, or even mildly interesting.
