||KUBI TSURU|||Grizzly|InformationSharp like the edge of a samurai swordThe mental blade cut through flesh and bone
Age: 97 (Physically in his forties)
Sex: Male
Orientation: Bisexual with a preference for femalesAppearance and FeaturesThough my mind’s at peace, the world is out of orderMissing the inner heat, life gets colder
Body and Hair: A massive giant of a man despite his age and with an attitude to match. His skin is of a deeper shade than those of his Japanese countrymen, though he is not truly dark-skinned. The result is more of a tan than anything. This complicates his muscled physique well, a powerful frame despite his age. Though this health is somewhat offset by the cybernetic limbs and eye attached to his body, he is nonetheless still an intimidating figure, made more so by the sheer scale of him. He is tall, almost seven and a half feet, and incredibly broad as well, to the point where one has to wonder how he even fits through doorways.
Clothing and Style: Though once a fashion icon, Kubi has transitioned into much more of a relaxed, comfortable style in his old age. Jeans a T-shirt are the norm for him, combined with work boots and occasionally a pair of worn gloves. Though he does own several suits, him wearing them isa rare sight, typically only reserved for solemn or important days, such as the anniversary of his wife’s death. While traveling the roads or perhaps engaging in battle, as rare as that may be, augments this with a reinforced cloak emblazoned with his symbol and a special pair of gloves designed for him long ago.
Scars and Piercings: Where to start with these? As the owner of several cybernetic limbs, it goes without saying that Kubi has had his fair share of scraps, and a decent collection of scars. Most notable are those around his left eye, closing in on the prosthetic, and around his right shoulder and hip, where flesh meets cybernetics. These are wicked wounds, the result of a damaging battle, the last of his career as a Hero. Little scars crisscross his body, result of a lifetime of combat, but all pale in comparison to the life-sucking wound he has suffered. A pit in his gut, just slightly below his heart, this wound refuses to heal, a blow to his very life force, eating into his soul and body. It is a grotesque thing, crimson spirals arcing out of it’s core, a poisonous, diseased hole. The ugliness of it is directly contrasted by the beauty of the tattoos etched on his skin; spirals and pictures entwined into a beautiful, perfect picture of serenity. It covers his back, all the way through the backs of his legs and across his biceps.Personality and Beliefs:Oh yes, I have to find my pathNo less, walk on earth, water, and fire
Personality Summary: Once upon a time, the Hero known as Grizzly was a shining example of everything it meant to be good. Kind but confident, the type to stop a bad guy but keep all the good guys safe. The First Hero, the one who first proposed the idea of categorizing villains and making a Hero a paid job. He never took money for it, of course, claimed in his usual arrogance it wouldn’t be fair to the newbies. He seemed to be power, a living conduit of strength and energy who dedicated his time towards not only fighting crime and villainy, but making the world a better place. A living legend, in other words, whose mere presence was once enough to shake any villain to his pointy boots.
But that was a long time ago, and Kubi has changed. Age has taken him, the once spry limbs now choked by fatigue. Though he’s not decrepit, he is past the prime of his life, and it shows in the way he views the old. Bitter at his wife’s death, angry over his weakness and constantly living in fear of dying before he settles this life’s objectives, the constant positivity and confidence he exuded has been replaced by a disgruntled, short-tempered, and overall angry disposition. Additionally, Kubi wastes no time in getting to the point; before, he might have taken his time to enjoy things more. His limited stamina and overall new mindset doesn’t allow for much playtime anymore.
Faiths and Beliefs: Despite his nihilistic viewpoint, however, Kubi still shares the core values all the greatest heroes do; a firm belief in the goodness of man and a desire to nurture it. Innocents, particularly women and children, are still underneath his protection no matter the cost. Additionally, Kubi believes in the values of rehabilitation and redemption at the cost of salvation; in other words, rather than tossing a villain in prison where he may be back to his or her old tricks in a year or two, he believes in, and practices, showing the villains the error of their ways and providing them with the means to better themselves.
Goals and Fears: The only goal of Kubi’s, and the only thing that matters, is to avenge his wife. She was killed, a long time ago now, by a pyromaniacal bastard whose identity to this day remains hidden from him. Despite all his power, he hasn’t yet caught the guy, the whole reason he became a hero and helped found the Heroic Age they currently live in.Armory and Unique GearThe elements compose a Magnus OpumMy Modus Operandi is amalgam
