Group Purpose: The College of Aegis since time immemorial has employed the worlds greatest entertainers and devotees to the safety of the world as a whole. The college was founded by a being only known as The immortal poet, it's origins are unknown and few have bore witness to it. Some say the Immortal poet runs everything behind the scenes and others say he's a myth to bolster the College popularity. A legend tells of the Bard gathering a group of heroes together to fight an ancient God from consuming the Earth whole in ages past, The immortal poet made the college afterwards to train new guardians against the threat as well as spread the joy of entertainers to the worlds. Since those ancient times the college has made itself into an industry employing tens of thousands in various arts and production houses. Many famous celebrities of magical and the Earthly realm came from this school. There is an entrance exam to the college and a fee but afterwards all materials you need and lodging is provided, if you prefer living off campus then the college will provide a small percentage of your rent and living expenses along with medical needs. The college provides many benefits for it's students due to it's deep pockets and desire to produce the best entertainers and artist the world will ever see. Part of the obligation of joining the college is a blood oath. The oath dictates that the bard when called to service against a great threat on the world will respond and do what is commanded of them by their superiors.
Being educated at the College of aegis grants aspiring bards unique debilities depending on what courses they take, these abilities were born from ancient scrolls written by the immortal poet centuries ago. The most powerful practitioners of these bardic skills are the Superintendents of the colleges themselves having been graduates. These beings are not only masters of certain bardic abilities but also of their crafts, they tend to be extremely charismatic and talented but also eccentric in their own unique ways. Students from all backgrounds are welcome so long as they can pass the entrance exam, follow the codes of conduct and perform their duties. The Superintendents are ll descended from the bards that aided the Immortal poet, their lineage and their breadth of wisdom make them some of the worlds most respected artists and they are known in all four corners for their skill. Students who seek to teach after learning can become professors at a college.

-Song: Regardless of the genre of music you would like to specialize in learning to be a singer and interweaving bardic magic is the focus of these classes. There are many parts to the curriculum but the majority focuses on magical theory and mastery of the throat, chest and mouth. When graduating the student will have mastered the ability to use their songs in one of few ways. The Lyrical blood word and the shattering resonance, the lyrical blood word offers students ways to use word and name magic in song to have various effects. The effect can be on things, people or places depending on the inflection and wording. The shattering resonance uses sonic magic to do various things such as provide shielding, open portals and as a full on canon. Graduates like every other class also receive a secret technique depending on their class.
-Poetry: A poet is a master of weaving words in such an elegant way as to invoke the magic of the written word. The focus of these classes is to reveal the art of spell craft through through poetry from all over the world, also what writing materials can alter the effects of these magics. The written word is a class powerful enough to manipulate destiny itself when used by a master. Of course the written word is only one path, the two poetry classes are "The name and word bound" and "The arcane speech". The name bound deal in writings and names, writings are more lyrical magic focused on the composition as a whole. Names focus on the subject of the poem and how the poem might affect the subject. The arcane speech is vocal but not necessarily lyrical, the focus is on the delivery of the poem spoken and perfecting that aspect.
