The clouds roiled around the stone tower, lightning shimmered in the air as a dark presence could be felt all around it. The locals knew better than to get close to the place, as the devils tower was hardly a hospitable home for anyone aside from the wizard that maintained it. A dark laughter would emanate from the place, and a mans scream would echo throughout the land.
“Phobos, you will not succeed this night!” Screamed the wizard, and in doing so; he pulled out the crystal ball. The man with a pumpkin for a head laughed from the corner again, sending chills down the wizards spine. “I’ve already succeeded, Galeen!” And a knife sunk into the wizards shoulder, but not before the pumpkin headed man had a darkness sucked from him. A putrid yellow and black smoke, that bordered on unholy. The smoke was trapped inside the ball, and as the wizard died; so did the smoke. Replaced by an uneasy yellow glow.

The tour guide sat in his office watching a horror movie. A nightmare on Elm Street, to be exact. He was rather enjoying it, even. He shoveled popcorn in his mouth as the killer tore through sheets on the mattress and blood exploded from it. He really was a fan. His pet lobster Hannibal on the other hand, not so much. The wood was treacherous, but he knew his way around.
Jack O’Leary, the tour guide, stood in front of a pair of army jeeps that he had repurposed. On the side, it said Lucifer Wood tours. He smiled brightly as the car drove up.
